 Srđan Sremac is a research fellow at the Department of Theology at VU University Amsterdam and a research member at the Amsterdam Center for the Study of Lived Religion at the same university. He is also the co-founder of the Centre for the Study of Religion, Politics and Society in Novi Sad, Serbia. Srdjan is the author of Addiction and Spiritual Transformation (2013), and co-editor of Europe as a Multiple Modernity: Multiplicity of Religious Identities and Belonging (2014), Gods, Gays and Governments: Religious and Sexual Nationalisms in Central and Eastern Europe (forthcoming) and Lived Religion and the Politics of (In)Tolerance (forthcoming). His broad research interests include narrative psychology of religion, biographical-reconstructive research, religion and sexuality, war-related trauma, addiction and spirituality, lived religion of marginalized groups and post-conflict reconciliation studies. Within the project Contested Privates he focuses on religious and sexual nationalisms in the post-Yugoslav space.
